This is my attempt to clarify some things about this story .
Tiny Peanut was a story that came to me through many days. It covers many things I have seen in many people, some more than others, including attributes I have battled in myself. It was NOT written about any one person, regardless of what anyone may think!"middle aged but was mentally much younger" {Typical of most men but a few women I have known as well. Definitely typical of every person who allows themselves to lose their temper and focus!}
"thought he knew what it was like to struggle but really only ever focused on himself"
{ There are a few people I have known who "claimed" to have gone through abuse during childhood; only to find out later their claims were all lies!}{Mine are not and I have the scars and mental illnesses diagnosed to prove it!}
" he was really looking for was people who would agree with him and bolster his ego."
This did come from my experience with one person in particular;but, I have since discovered there are many who do this!
"delete these people. Block them" {I have never done this but know of many who do on social networks. In real life they just curse at you and /or leave the place you are!}
"Little did Tiny know how much he was depriving himself of." Too many people tend to deprive themselves of the opportunity to learn and grow by interacting with others who are different from them. I know this is a societal issue. Too many feel it is easier to push people away, ignore them or just plain call them names then try to understand others}
"unable to empathize" (Empathy,as defined by Webster's dictionary, the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another of either the past or present without having the feelings, thoughts, and experience fully communicated in an objectively explicit manner.){ otherwise the inability to attempt to understand or any of the above}
"he did not understand how much he was hurting people and truthfully did not care." {Many people neither understand or care how their words and actions affect others. People in this world has become very selfish and tend to feel everyone else is here for their benefit only!}
" Those "friends" who were deleted were sad because they really wanted to understand and help." {This applies to several people whom I have heard express these feelings, not just myself!}
"suffer a lot more" { I hear so many people complain about how they are treated and the bad things that happen to them and/or their family. Often, there is a reason - sometimes to strengthen us, sometimes to discipline!}
"surrounded by people but in reality he was very alone" {If a person never truly opens themselves to others they are truly alone!I know this from many years of experience! No one can understand what others keep hidden!!!}
"chose deception and negativity instead of empathy" {I have done this (especially when angered or depressed); but, so have a lot of people I know! It's a defense mechanism used by many people!}
"False friendship, deception, negativity and lack of empathy would follow him for many years." { Too many people choose this. How can a person who gives this out ever expect anything but this in return?}{ I am very open about everything and have made some REAL, great friends!}
"the poison they bring into their own lives" {This may include illness, both physical and mental, of themselves or family members! It often includes many negative things occurring in life, mostly to refocus our attention on what and who is important!}
"Too bad Tiny Peanut never admits what has happened or that he is afraid of changing." { I know others feel it is easier to forget things that don't work out (be it friendships, jobs, goal, etc)' but, personally I am always trying to understand what I have contributed towards my failures and how I can change!Realization of our own failures and the strength to change are the most important things in life! Change in our personalities and the way we deal with society is the only way to grow and mature!JMO}
" Say a prayer for Tiny Peanut." {Every person deserves someone to pray for them regardless of whether they believe or not! Even if it is just for them to be whole and well}
I hope this clears up the fact that this Story is not about a person but many people!
