He said they were soul mates
How quickly that changed
From love into hate.
He said she was special
That their love would last
But that didn't happen
It all soon was past.
Now he is with another
Does he love her the same
Or to him
Is love just a game?
Nasty things happen in life
And love quickly passes
But why oh why
Do men have to be such asses?
This would make a lovely greeting card. I would have enjoyed receiving it at a few points in my life. I also would have given this to my friends and sisters at some point in most of their lives. It is a sentiment with which many of us can relate.
